not being liked

Photography by Josh Fogel for gurus magazine

Other people’s opinions sway like a gust,

Not being liked can feel like a bust.

Remember, Chica, you are more than their views,

Your worth and value are not found in their cues.

Not being liked, a bitter pill to swallow,

But validation from others is not what you follow.

You stand tall in your own unique grace,

Unshaken by judgment, standing in your place.

You are a masterpiece, a work of art,

Defined by your essence, a part of God’s heart.

Not being liked does not dim your shine,

Your light burns bright, because your strength is divine.

Embrace your truth, and all of your quirks,

It’s in your imperfections that your beauty lurks.

Not being liked does not define you,

Your worth and brilliance forever true.

Be unapologetically you,

Stand firm in your love,

Your value is not measured by the likes or views.

Not being liked is the least you can do.
