It’s taken a few days to decompress after ETTWomen’s #ThePowerOfConnections2019. I’m never one to boast, I’m actually quite hard on myself and on our team, because I always believe we can always do better.
Managing expectations is huge when you put on events like these. People are not just investing money, they’re also investing their time -something you can never get back.
I’d be lying to you if I didn’t admit that every time I got up on that stage, I felt like a complete failure. I gathered strength from God, my fabulous partners Lynette Barbieri and Theodora Sergiou, our amazing community and poker face and all, the show had to go on.
Our theme this year is, “She believed she could, so she did!” Holy shit balls, did our panelists and speakers deliver!
We are what we give. We are a reflection of the company we keep. ETTWomen has become a hub of connection, empowerment, illumination, and divinity.
Business isn’t built in silos. It’s built on relationships. That’s what connections do -that is their power. That’s what ETTWomen do for each other. They support you and want to see you succeed. They will even drive you or ride in the passenger seat if necessary.
I am always left at a loss of words, overcome by the messages but undeniably fueled by the fire we all help keep burning inside each other.
Thank you Cheryl, Aria, and Ana…you were the glue that helped make this weekend so fucking amazing 🍾
Believe Chicas, we are here!
“I heard a woman becomes herself the first time she speaks without permission.
Say ‘hero,’ and cast yourself in the lead role…
When a woman tells her own story, she lives forever.
If this poem is the only thing that survives me, tell them, this is how I happened.
Tell them, I built me a throne.
Tell them, when we discovered life on another planet,
it was a woman — and she built a bridge, not a border.”
