The Power of Manifesting -From Vision to Reality!

I moved to New Jersey 5 years ago when my husband and I bought our first home. I was excited for our new life. Mostly because our children would have a backyard -like the one I once had before my parent’s divorce.

I was 7 when that happened and I am just recently recovering from what finally feels like a sense of belonging. You see when I was younger, we moved quite a bit. So having a permanent home, for the first time in over 20 years, feels like a bit of a miracle.

The same would apply to the growing phases of my business. When I moved to NJ it felt like I had hit an unchanging plateau. To be honest, it felt like a new black hole I was sinking into. I wanted to continue to grow my business, but I also wanted to enjoy raising my children and this new chapter in our lives.

Then it hit me. What if I could find a place where I could work and my kids could be supervised? A Mom’s Café of sorts.

I made a mind map of everything that I wanted this place to have. Here is what it looked like in 2012:

Great idea, many people said; many others thought I was crazy. I kept visualizing it however because for whatever crazy reason, in my gut I knew that this was an idea to pursue.

A few days after meeting my now business partner Lynette Barbieri, I showed her the sketch. We have managed to integrate some of this concept into our organization, ETTWomen. We’ve done it all knowing that some day, we would make our entrepreneurship center a reality.

I kept dreaming it. I kept saying it out loud. I kept sharing the idea with people I thought could see the bigger picture. As life will have it, eventually, somebody did.

You see, the struggle, overwhelm, guilt, anxiety, and so many other terms women who have children have and feel is real. Even more so when you’ve realized that motherhood is not what defines you. This is still something not discussed enough but is one topic I was willing to take on. Not only did I exemplify it, but I was around many women -and we were all having this same conversation.

Time passed, our community continued to grow and I moved out of my home office.

A lot has happened in 5 years, I moved around some more and we made it work -until we couldn’t anymore. One day in conversation with the owner of the plaza where my old office was, he listened. A few days later he called me back and shared that he had decided to take the leap of Fatih with me.

I am proud to share that my business is now officially V + Co. Consulting and it is home to a 1,250 square foot space. ETTWomen and the ETTWomen Foundation also proudly operate in our new digs and we have several spaces up for rent for women entrepreneurs.

None of this would have ever been possible without the vision, but most importantly without putting footsteps behind the dream.

Thank you to my work wife Lynette for sharing in this mission of service, but also believing that more was in store for what we have to offer women.

For the past year both my business and ETTWomen have also heavily relied on the support of our volunteer Jenny Colón.  Thank you Jenny for also believing in the collective goal that “Together, we achieve more!”

Today I can say that I finally have a sense of permanence with what I once thought was a crazy dream. Never underestimate the power of manifesting and your ask because as you can see, your vision can become reality!
