A mind map is a diagram used to visually outline information. It is often created around a single word or text, placed in the center. You then begin to associate ideas, words and concepts to it. Major categories radiate from a central point of focus, and lesser categories are sub-branches of larger branches. Categories can represent words, ideas, tasks, or other items related to a central key word or idea.
I learned to mind map in high school. As a creative and visual person, when I am overwhelmed with thoughts and need to hash out a strategy, I turn to a mind map to help me flush them out. I can’t begin to explain how it helps you put your visions, ideas into perspective.
Most importantly, it helps you see even more ways you can turn those ideas into action.
If you are looking for clarity, this is an easy way to visualize, goal set, and manifest.
The featured image above is the mind map I created for my website in 2012. The one below, is for a physical business structure that today, is real.
