You Can Always Make More Cake

I’ve always believed that from a scarcity mindset, when you think that helping other people hurts you because you no longer have the advantage you see the world as a giant cake.

Every piece of the cake you have is cake I don’t have. Meaning that in order for you to win, I must lose.

Instead, from a perspective of abundance, there is not only one cake. There is actually an infinite number of cakes and if you want more, you can make more cake.

From my upcoming book #MakeMoreCake 🎂

‘At what point is my ego finally satisfied?’

The question: ‘At what point is my ego finally satisfied?’

The answer: ‘At no point’.

And THAT is the point. The service of self ends in the service of self.

… that is a very small place to find myself living in.

Thank you life for the continued lessons.

Death Grounds You

Why does it take tragedy for us to be transparent + authentic with each other?

With a loss, we question what’s important to us in life.

We reflect on the qualities we admired most about the person we have lost.

We gain mental strength.

Death certainly puts life into perspective + reminds us of our own mortality.

Loss can be the catalyst for new or better decisions, improved relationships, + can motivate us to make the changes we know we should make to live a better, more fulfilled life.

Reminder: Make the most of every moment. Experience all the ups + downs, busy + boring moments.

Appreciate ALL of your senses: sight, taste, touch, hearing, smell. Catch the details of life. See life for what it is, imperfections + all. Death grounds you to what is -the NOW.

Choose Wisely

Consciously choose who your people are. These are the people who will tell you hard truths, who you can depend on, who help you see that your faults aren’t fatal.

God, Show Me What You Got!

When we walk into a room, our energetic state of being can be communicated before we say a word. If we’re coming from love, everyone feels it. And if we’re feeling resentful, edgy, sad or preoccupied, everyone can feel that, too. Silently, our energy speaks + our thoughts, feelings and intentions ripple out into the world.

Our capacity to affect others with our energy is both a gift and a responsibility. We have the power to choose how we show up and interact in this world. When we choose to come from compassion, peace, and unity, we become a powerful force for good …

Although I’ve been met with quite a few challenges this week, last night in prayer I literally said out loud, “Ok God, show me what you got!”

When you let go + let what’s meant to be be… you’ll be in awe of the grace you’ll bring into every aspect of your life. Let God wow you. I am so grateful I did just that.

Keep It Moving

Sometimes follow up Dr. appointments don’t bring the best news. I am however incredibly grateful that he’s making progress, even if it’s not at the speed we all prayed for.

Basking in this moment my gorgeous son + I got to share last week. Thank you @theparkerazzi for capturing us at our silliest 😜

Remember why you started.

No one is indispensable, but we think we are. Whenever possible, pull yourself away from all you have to do + be still.
